The New York Jets traveled to Indianapolis to face the Colts on Thursday Night Football. Mike White started at quarterback for the Jets and was also the first former WKU quarterback to start a nationally televised game.

Also accompanying him was George Fant who started at left tackle. Fant was questionable to return after leaving Sunday’s game against the Bengals due to an ankle injury. He was clear for action. On the home side of Lucas Oil Stadium, Capt. Jack Doyle started at tight end.

After the Colts jumped to an early 7–0 lead in the first quarter, White was starting to get the Jets' offense rolling. He completed a few passes on their second offensive drive of the game. He found rookie wide receiver Elijah Moore for their opening touchdown:

The game was tied at 7 at the end of the first quarter.

Early in the second quarter, the injury bug struck White. He was banged up on a play that required him to go to the sidelines. It turned out to be his forearm and he was listed as questionable, not returning to Thursday’s game. He was replaced by backup quarterback Josh Johnson.

Early in the same quarter, the Colts took advantage of the Jets’ downfall. Carson Wentz was able to find Doyle in the red zone, doing what he does best.

For most of the night, it was all Indianapolis. Their offensive weaponry made up for Sunday’s loss against the Titans as they've accounted for over 500 yards of total offense.

The Colts were victorious over the Jets 45–30. They move on to 4–5 with two games behind the AFC south leader Titans. Jets fall to 2–5 with a third pace set in the AFC East.

Mike White threw seven completions out of eleven pass attempts for 95 yards and 1 TD.

Jack Doyle finished the game with his lone yard reception for a touchdown. He also spent the game being a huge run block presence for the halfback tandem of Jonathan Taylor & Nyheim Hines.

George Fant played every offensive snap for the Jets offensive line.

Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.
